Information Open House



OhioMeansJobs Geauga County is launching a customized Class A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) training for 15 to 20 low income and/or laid off individuals with classes to begin mid-January, 2018.

Information Open Houses will be held at:

Geauga County Job and Family Services

Chardon, OH  44024

The dates are:
Wednesday, October 18, 2017
Tuesday, October 24, 2017
Wednesday, October 25, 2017
Wednesday, November 1, 2017

Arrive to the Information Open House anytime between 4 pm and 7 pm to learn more about the training program and potential funding for Income Eligible adults and dislocated workers (Laid-Off) who are age 21 and older. 

Eligible candidates will receive at no cost: Class A CDL Training, interactive soft skills training, transportation, over-night accommodations, meals, testing fees for CDL license, and job placement assistance.

The training is valued at approximately $7,500 and is funded by Workforce Area 19, NOC COG, OhioMeansJobs Geauga, and Geauga County Job & Family Services. 

The CDL training provider is to be determined.
